Phytochemicals Screening and Antibacterial Activity of Teijsmaniadendron Holrungii from West Papua

Papua is an island with the highest flora biodiversity in world. To date, phytochemical content and antibacterial bioactivity of Teijsmaniadendron holrungii plant from West have never been reported. In this study, screening tests T. bark ethanol extract against E. coli S. aureus bacteria were carried out. The results showed that contained alkaloids, flavonoids, steroids, tannins. inhibitory activity bacterial growth increased increase concentrations ( w/v ) 5; 10; 20; 40; 80%, zones 14.5; 17; 18; 22 mm for 4.5; 5.5; 6; 7.5; 9.5 bacteria.
